What do you need to know after your treatment?

Chiropractic adjustments promote healing and repair within your body. It also aids in improving mobility. Your body initially tries to adapt to the changes from the chiropractic treatment sessions and sometimes can cause some of the following:

  • Muscle stiffness
  • Feeling of tiredness
  • A "bruised" feeling over the area that was worked on
  • Headaches and short term flair of inflammation (Usually for the first 24-48 hours after the treatment)

Apply ICE to any painful area because ICE is the best anti-inflammatory medication.

Drink a glass of water to help the body to flush away the body toxins.

Do not have your hair washed at the hair salon with your head bend over the basing for at least two hours after your treatment.

Do not vacuum, sweep, garden, sew or do any overhead work for one hour after the treatment.

 

Improve healthy habits:

  1. For men: do NOT sit on your wallet in your back pocket, this will cause unlevels in your lower back.
  2. Avoid holding any bag on one side for a prolonged period of time.
  3. Avoid holding the telephone receiver between your ear and shoulder.
  4. Use a proper lifting technique: plant your feet solidly in front of you, lift with the big muscles of your legs and arms and keep your back straight.  
  5. Drink 6-8 glasses of clean water every day
