Sometimes this is a very uncomfortable topic. According to the Republic's constitution everyone has the right to health care, but there is also responsibility:

"To comply with the prescribed treatment or rehabilitation procedures."

Unfortunately as a local Chiropractor in Centurion, I can only do so much during the treatment session, and most of the time I will give "home work" to do at home, for contentious care. This is not to waste your time but to improve your health as soon as possible and to prevent unnecessary follow up procedures. So what is the deal about Fascia? Chiropractor in Centurion

What is Fascia? Does fascia get released? How do you treat fascia? These are all the types of questions that you have when you visit your local chiropractor. The definition of Fascia: "A flat band of tissue below the skin that covers underlying tissues and separates different layers of tissue. Fascia also encloses muscles." What does it take to become a Chiropractor?

Many people ask me what it takes to become a Chiropractor. How many years of studying? Where do you study? Do you have to study something else before? These kinds of questions I get asked a lot, and its not dumb questions at all.


As a local born and bred kid from Centurion, I also had all these questions when I first started doing research on what to study etc.

So I went to my local Chiropractor near me with all these questions in mind. So the Chiropractor in Centurion sat me down and we had a long conversation about Chiropractic in general.

We would love to introduce Dr Carinda van der Merwe, as our full time Locum. Here is a little bit of info about her:

Dr Carinda graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2019 with a Master's degree in Chiropractic.
During her studies she worked at the University of Johannesburg Chiropractic Day Clinic for two years and did her minor dissertation on the effects of aging and chiropractic treatment.

Chiropractor in Centurion moving to Centurion.

After a few good years at Centurion Gate center in Centurion, we as The W, decided to move away from that practice and we relocated to Supersport park. We are still in Centurion, just 2km away. 

We are still providing chiropractic care for the families of Pretoria. Mainly we provide chiropractic care in Centurion and all the main suburbs like: Rooihuiskraal, Highveld, Irene, Clubview, Lyttleton areas, Midstream, The Reeds, Eldoraigne, Doringkloof, Cornwall Hill, Wierda Park and Swartkops.

About Dr Gert Ferreira - Chiropractor in Centurion

Dr Gert Ferreira qualified with his Master’s degree in Technology of Chiropractic at the University of Johannesburg in 2014. During his studies he was privileged to work at UJ’s Chiropractic clinic as an Assistant Clinician, he was also President of the Student Chiropractic Sports Council.

Dr Gert Ferreira was invited to join the Golden Key International Honour Society. This Society is an international non-profit organisation which recognizes academic excellence. Membership is by invitation only and is purely based on academic merit. Membership is limited to the top 15% of degree students, from all disciplines.
